Sun Pumps SCP series solar powered centrifugal pool pumps with brush type DC motors are the ultimate in performance and reliability. There are two types to choose from, the LC series with a 2” outlet and the LV series with a 2 ½” outlet. SCP series pool pumps will replace almost any AC powered pool pump up to 1.5 HP and because they get their power from the sun, you will never have an electric bill.

The SCP series pump are single stage centrifugals constructed from high performance thermoplastic. They are extremely resistant to mineral and algae deposits while providing outstanding strength and durability. For added protection there is a basket strainer incorporated into the suction side of the pump. Simplicity is a key feature of the SCP series pumps. They are simple to install and field servicing is easily accomplished without the use of specialized tools.

Sun Pumps SCP series pumps can not only be used for pool water filtration, but for fountains, water features, pond aeration, circulating water for aqua culture or to irrigate small farms. They were designed for use as a stand-alone water delivery system. NOTE: The SCP pool pumps with brush type motors do not require a controller if sized properly. If you size the solar array with the Imp at or higher than the full load pump current the controller is not necessary. However if you want features that come with the controller like speed control, remote switch circuit or would like a digital meter then order the PCC-BT-M2 pump controller.
